Meet Ali Tajbakhsh, the new CEO of VetFamily

Ali Tajbakhsh, who joined VetFamily as Chief Operating Officer in September 2021, has been appointed new Chief Executive Officer of VetFamily. Ali assumes his position on January 1 and succeeds Mikael Sjögren who has decided to step down. With a customer-focused mindset and collaborative leadership style, Ali joins us with a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful business, something that will benefit both clinics and partners in the VetFamily community.

Q: Ali, what made you join VetFamily?
A: The people, the culture and the ambitions of VetFamily in an exciting industry.

Q: Tell us a bit about your background?
A: Before VetFamily I spent six years as Group CEO of the media group Omnicom Media Group Sweden where I together with the team doubled the turnover and significantly expanded the service offering. Prior to that, I spent eight years in various international leadership positions focused on innovation, digitalization and growth within the media company Modern Times Group (MTG).

Q: What do you bring to VetFamily’s members and partners?
A: I see a lot of similarities between the companies I have worked with in the past and VetFamily. All have created a technically innovative and unrivaled product offering with a clear focus on customer benefit. And each started with a skilled team of professionals who will work tirelessly with customers or members to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded. I’ve been developing, transforming, digitalizing and growing businesses and industries all my professional career, and I look forward to continuing doing so with VetFamily as a trusted business partner for all our existing (and future) members and partners.

Q: How do you get motivated professionally?
A: I get motivated by ambitious people around me and I get energized by “Can do” mentality.

Q: Where do you see VetFamily a few years from now?
A: I see us as the largest veterinary clinic network in the world with the most attractive clinic support community for independent veterinary clinics. I see us as a trusted business partner both for our members and partners, and a fantastic place to work at.

Q: What sparks your joy outside of work?
A: Besides time with family and friends I love football, both playing and watching!
